المستخلص :
تعد شركة ناقلات النفط العراقية الناقل الوطني الوحيد لنقل المنتجات النفطية والنفط الخام في العراق، وامتلكت اسطول بحري تكون من (26) ناقلة منذ تأسيسها في عام 1972، إلا أنها نتيجة لظروف الحرب العراقية – الإيرانية وحرب العراق ضد الكويت في ثمانينات وتسعينات القرن الماضي على التوالي أدت إلى فقدان كامل اسطولها حتى تغيير النظام الحكومي في عام 2003، بعد ذلك بدأت الشركة باستعادة نشاطها من خلال شراء (4) ناقلات صغيرة الحجم لنقل المنتجات النفطية في عامي 2007 و 2009 ومن ثم استطاعت بناء ناقلتين في عام 2020 وتم استلامها في نهاية عام 2023، لنقل منتوجي زيت الوقود والنفثا من مينائي ام قصر وخور الزبير إلى الخزانات العائمة في المياه الإقليمية العراقية (منطقة المخطاف الخارجي) وعلى الرغم من ذلك فأن اسطولها الحالي لا يلبي نشاط نقل المنتجات النفطية بالكامل إذ ان الكميات المنقولة تفوق الطاقة الاستيعابية للأسطول لذا تلجأ شركة ناقلات النفط العراقية إلى استئجار الناقلات لتغطية هذا النشاط.
